If you live with other people and the dryer is full, do not hastily empty it and throw your own clothes in there. Thoroughly check and make sure it is completely emptied before proceeding to dry your clothers. The darkest timeline - the one in which a pair of your best friends/roommate’s girlfriends underwear is hiding in your laundry and you don’t discover it there until a few days later - cannot be allowed to exist.

Also, if your wash cycle has finished DON’T FREAKING STOP THE DRYER AND PUT THE WET CLOTHES IN A BASKET. My brother is guilty of doing this multiple times.

Reminds me of when I went to visit my parents and thought I’d get my clothes washed there since we dont have a drier. My gf had left a thong and skirt in the washing basket which got mixed into my stuff. That looked suspicious...

That’s not the darkest timeline. This is the darkest timeline:
The one in which a pair of your best friends/roommate’s girlfriends underwear is hiding in your laundry and your girlfriend discovers it there a few days later and freaks the fuck out because she thinks you’re sleeping with someone else...
That’s a dark timeline...

Speaking of dryer stories...I have a crazy roommate story.
Once, and only once, I emptied the dryer after said roommate’s clothes had been sitting in it for two days. Come back home later to find my (wet) clothes strewn about the room and the dryer covered in a furious note in all capital letters...written in sharpie. Yes, crazy roommate decided to leave a permanent rant on our rental dryer. Not the sharpest tool in the shed, nor the most easygoing.
